the Harvestmen play a variety of styles that fall loosely into American roots, bluegrass, country, swing, and blues. Honest, unassuming, toe tapping music that moves a body as well as a soul, the songs of the Harvestmen form a tapestry of Americana against which a variety of stories are told. Tales of salty dogs, shipwrecks, and sordid escapades punctuate their melodies as they soar over the rhythms of an infectious sound. Like the Flying Dutchman, a legendary ghost ship of a by-gone era, the Harvestmen sound is haunting yet hard to describe.
